Training Consultant 

Time Commitment: Full-time (40 hours per week).

Location: Fully remote, with required travel to client sites across the U.S.

Job Summary

As Teamergent grows, we are seeking a Training Consultant to design and facilitate emergency response training for water and wastewater utility leadership teams. This role combines technical analysis, creative scenario development, facilitation, report writing, and client service. You will manage assigned engagements from onboarding through delivery, including reviewing utility systems, customizing training materials, independently facilitating training sessions, and developing resources to strengthen the client’s emergency response program. As part of a small, growing company, you will have the opportunity to contribute to strategic and product-development discussions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver high-quality, engaging training experiences.

  • Onboard and orient assigned new clients to the Teamergent program.

  • Review water and wastewater utility infrastructure and assess vulnerabilities.

  • Edit video content using video editing software.

  • Draft and finalize reports for each training summarizing best practices and opportunities for improvement.

  • Develop other client deliverables and reports.

  • Manage logistics, materials, and follow-up for client engagements.

  • Ensure each assigned client feels supported and pleased with Teamergent service.

  • Maintain high standards in everything we produce — from scenarios to spreadsheets.

  • Foster a generative and positive collaborative environment with colleagues.

Basic Qualifications

  • Deep alignment with Teamergent’s mission, values, and tone.

  • Comfortable working remotely.

  • Strong background in environmental engineering or similar and familiarity with water/wastewater utility infrastructure (5-12 years).

  • Proven ability to develop and nurture client partnerships (3+ years).

  • Ability to develop and edit video content or willingness to learn.

  • Experience delivering training, consulting, or client services (3+ years).

  • Technical report writing.

  • Confidence to deliver training solo including travel.

  • Ability and flexibility to travel in the US for 2 to 4 day trips.

  • Self-directed and proactive, with strong communication skills.

  • Comfortable working in ambiguity, wearing multiple hats, and co-creating structure.

  • Expertise in Google Workspace and Microsoft tools.

Special Requirements

  • 25% travel

  • Must possess and maintain a valid US driver’s license.

Additional Experience Not required, but strengthens application

  • Well-networked with water and wastewater utilities.

  • Experience with business leadership and strategic decision-making.

  • Desire to streamline and commercialize training products.

  • Background in emergency response (e.g. FEMA or HSEEP).

Salary Range and Benefits

  • Salary commensurate with experience with the minimum range starting at $105,000/year.

  • Monthly stipend to cover health insurance, including medical, dental, vision, and life coverage.

  • Eligible for participation in the Teamergent Retirement Program  with employer contribution.
